The aim of this research project is the study of the economic impact on the wind power generation of the valley hour limitation. Wind power generation may experience limitations in power systems with high penetration of non-dispatchable energy sources due to the lack of contribution to the load - frequency regulation. These limitations can be activated in valley hours and can affect the economic feasibility of new wind power parks. The economic impact will be assessed as a factor that affects the total energy produced. The sensitivities of such limiting factor with respect to several parameters will also be studied.
